Lets journey together and make new friends!

Journey with us for 28 days into a place where friendships are built and excitement runs high!

Hosting a student is an incredible experience!  STEP provides invaluable life experiences to the students and host families alike.  The program promotes cultural awareness to students coming to the United States and to the families hosting them.  Students get to discover the United States through meaningful experiences staying with an American family.  Many lifelong friendships are formed.
STEP is a reliable organization with more than 20 years of experience and headquartered in the Basque region of Spain, in the city of Bilbao.  STEP provides the opportunity for students learning English to practice their second language by being immersed in the American culture for 28 days during the summer.

Students will arrive on June 27, 2017 at the LA International Airport.  They will be brought by bus to a local, convenient location near Poway where host families can pick them up.  The students will return to Spain on July 23, 2017.  Host families will bring them to the same convenient location near Poway then taken by bus back to the LA International Airport.

A host family needs to provide a warm bed, a place at the table and friendship!  The students come with their own money, so they can cover any of their own expenses such as if the host family decides to go bowling.  The students understand they will do whatever activities the host family would normally do. You can take your student on vacation with you if you want.  If your normal activities are lounging around at home, playing video games, running errands, shopping, or going to the beach, that is great too.

The students have pre-planned activities such as Disneyland, Universal Studios and LA sightseeing.
We also will be visiting local beaches.  All tickets for the students are already provided.  We invite you to join us on these funfilled activities where tickets may be available at group discount rates.
Two potluck picnics are planned -  a welcome gathering at the beginning of the program and a farewell picnic at the end.

I believe you will find this program to be a rich and rewarding experience.
